Reebok x Pyer Moss finally launches its Collection 3 FW19
Reebok has fallen in love with the Pyer Moss brand and not only presents a new Reebok x Pyer Moss FW19 joint collection, but also names its founder, Kerby Jean-Raymond, artistic director of the new Reebok Studies line.
And we fell in love with the first collaboration between both brands, Reebok x Pyer Moss FW18 and now they conquer us again. The launch of the new collection was last night during New York Fashion Week and it’s first delivery will be available on November 2 and the second on December 14 .
The Brooklyn Kings Theater was the setting chosen to show the new proposal titled 3 and 3.5 Reebok x Pyer Moss FW19. But before the parade there was a notion: the presentation of a new line of the sports brand that promises everything. An initiative named Reebok Studios. And you know who is going to be the Artistic Director? Well, you hit the Haitian-American designer Kerby Jean-Raymond, designer and founder of Pyer Moss.
On this occasion, Reebok x Pyer Moss FW19 explores the human condition while focusing on forgotten stories. The concept of collections 3 and 3.5 is “Sanfoka”, a word of the Twi language of the Akan tribe of Ghana. A term that means “go back and take it.” The icon of this concept is a bird. In fact his figure has been reflected in some pieces of the collection next to an egg. The idea behind all this is to vindicate all the marginalized to whom something has been taken from them, it is like a shout that encourages everyone to claim what is theirs.
